MRS. ELSIE SCHIVE

Mrs. Elsie Hope Simpson Schive, 91, a Plymouth County native, who had lived the last five years in Duarte, Calif., died Wednesday, Jan. 12, 1977, in a convalescent home there.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Bruce Funeral Home, Fort Dodge, where Mrs. Schive had lived most of her life.

Services are scheduled for Saturday at 3:30 p.m. at that funeral home. Burial will be in the Oakland Cemetery at Fort Dodge.

Elsie Hope Simpson was born Aug. 7, 1883, in the Broken Kettle area west of Merrill. Her marriage to Francis Schive took place in Merrill in 1910.

The couple lived at Fort Dodge where Mr. Schive was a carpenter. He preceded in death in 1958.

Survivors are three daughters, Mrs. Winifred Fairbanks, Duarte; Mrs. Maxine Widener, Augusta, Ga.; and Mrs. Constance Peters, Westford, Mass. Also a son Reginald Schive, Papillion, Neb.; 8 grandchildren; a great granddaughter and niece, Mrs. Gladys Pray, Seni-Valley, Calif.
