LIFE’S END
ROY JANES SUCCUMBS AT AGE OF 59 AFTER SEVERAL MONTHS ILLNESS
FUNERAL RITES SET—WEDNESDAY AFTERNOONRoy Janes, 59, died Sunday at Sacred Heart hospital where he had been a patient six weeks. The former Whelan Motors employee had been ill several months.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Mauer’s funeral home. Rev. Alvern Kinrade of the First Baptist Church will officiate. Burial will be in Resthaven Memory Gardens.
Roy Icabod Janes was born June 11, 1904, at Windsor, Mo. He had lived in Plymouth county since leaving Missouri in 1939. His marriage to Mary Schroeder took place July 19, 1941, at Dakota City, Neb.
Surviving are his wife; three children, Ronald J. of LeMars, Teddy Charles in the service stationed at Pensacola, Fla., and Mrs. Barbara Hamilton of Kansas City, Mo.; three grandchildren; three brothers, Walter S. in Oklahoma, Leslie C. in California, and Harry Ernest in Illinois and a sister, Wilda B. Walton, in California.
He was preceded in death by his parents; Charles Henry and Mary Ann White Janes, two brothers and two sisters.
