MRS. OPAL HOFFMAN DIES IN CALIFORNIA
Mrs. Maynard (Opal) Hoffman, 50, Anaheim, Calif., died Thursday in California after a long illness.
Opal Knott was born Sept. 9, 1917, in Illinois. She was married to Mr. Hoffman in Sioux City in 1937. The couple farmed near LeMars until 1962 when they moved to California.
Funeral services are scheduled for 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Seney Methodist Church.
She is survived by her husband, Maynard, and daughter, Mrs. Charles (Marilyn) Frerichs, both of Anaheim, and a son, Robert, Leigh, S.D. There are three grandchildren.

=====================MRS. OPAL HOFFMAN RITES SET TUESDAY AT SENEY CHURCH
Funeral services for Mrs. Maynard (Opal) Hoffman, 50, a former LeMars resident, will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Seney Methodist Church.
Burial will be in Resthaven Memory Gardens near LeMars under the direction of the Wiltgen-Luedtke Funeral Home.
A prayer service will be held at 8:30 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
Mrs. Hoffman died Thursday, Dec. 7, at Anaheim, Calif., after a long illness. The obituary was published in Friday’s Daily Sentinel.
