CLIFFORD G. JURGENSEN
Clifford G. Jurgensen, 87, of LeMars, died Tuesday, Dec. 20, 1996, at Floyd Valley Hospital in LeMars.
Clifford Jurgensen was born Sept. 26, 1909, on a farm near Akron, the son of Henry and Mary(VonHagel) Jurgensen. He attended rural school near Akron. On Feb. 25, 1933, he married Darlene Butcher in Akron. He was involved in farming all of his life. The couple moved to LeMars in 1981.
Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Dorothy Ragsdale and her husband, Jim, of Cherokee, and Connie Anderson of Cherokee; one son and daughter-in-law, Gene and Phyllis Jurgensen of Sioux City; one brother, Andrew of Alcester, S.D.; two sisters, Alma Anderson of Akron and Phyllis Storz and her husband, Dale; 18 grandchildren and 33 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; three daughters and a brother.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Friday at the Assembly of God Church in LeMars with the Rev. Dan Krause officiating. Burial will be in Resthaven Memory Gardens Cemetery, LeMars. Visitation will be after 2 p.m. today (Thursday) with the family present to greet friends from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at the Mauer-Johnson Funeral Home in LeMars.
Pallbearers will be Larry Jurgensen, Steve Martin, LeRoy Riibe, Bob Riibe, Steve Robb and Mike Anderson.
