MARY B. JANES

Mary B. Janes, 70, of LeMars, died Monday, Aug. 10, 1992, at St. Luke's Regional Medical Center, Sioux City.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Mauer-Johnson Funeral Home in LeMars with Rev. Gary Landsness officiating. Burial was at Resthaven Memory Gardens in LeMars. Visitation is after 2 p.m. Wednesday with the family present from 7 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

Mrs. Janes was bron Feb. 26, 1921, in LeMars to Frank and Anna (Wengler) Schroeder. She married Roy Janes on July 19, 1941, at Dakota City, Neb. He died on Sept. 18, 1963. Mrs. Janes was retired but had worked at Sacred Heart and Floyd Valley Hospitals in LeMars for 19 years and was a nurse’s aid at the Plymouth County Care Facility for eight years.

Survivors include two sons, Ronald Janes of Milford and Ted and his wife, Carol Sue, of McCook, S.D.; eight grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; two brothers, John W. Schroeder of Sioux City and John J. Schroeder of Stockton, Calif.; two sisters, Mrs. Dick (Mabel) Friedrichs of Whiting and Mrs. Andrew (Betty) Rolfes of LeMars; and a special friend, Myron Schult of LeMars.

She also was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Harm and Lawrence, and a sister, Bernice.
