DONALD (CLAY) JENNINGS
Donald (Clay) Jennings, 36, of Sioux City, died Sunday (April 28, 1985) at a Sioux City hospital following a brief illness.
Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the First Church of the Nazarene in Sioux City. Revs. Forrest E. Whitlath and William O. Smith will officiate. Burial will be in Resthaven Memory Gardens in LeMars, under the direction of the Mauer-Johnson Funeral Home of LeMars.
Mr. Jennings was born on July 19, 1948, at LeMars to Charles and Bonnie Larson Jennings. He graduated from the LeMars public school system in 1966 and from the Nazarene Bible College in Colorado Springs, Colo. He married Deborah Freeburg on July 3, 1971, in LeMars.
Mr. Jennings was ordained as an elder in the Church of the Nazarene in 1979 and pastured the Church of the Nazarene in Norwalk, Conn. until 1980.
He returned to Sioux City in 1980. He was employed with Nite Eye Electronic Alarms.
He was a member of the First Church of the Nazarene.
Survivors are his wife, one daughter, Catina Lynne, at home; one son, Tyler Christian, at Home; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Jennings of Sioux City; one brother, Ray Jennings of Sioux City; one sister, Sandra Jennings-Amos of LeMars; and grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Erving Twiford of Glendo, Wyo.
