ALBERT HERZIG
Albert William H. Herzig, 68, 501 Seventh St. SW., a well known LeMars carpenter and builder, died Sunday at Floyd Valley Hospital after an illness of several months. He had been hospitalized seven weeks.
Funeral Services will be Wednesday at 2 p.m. at the First Baptist Church with Rev. Richard Milne officiating. Burial will be in Resthaven Memory Gardens under the direction of Mauer funeral home.
He was born Jan. 15, 1902, at Chicago, a son of the late William and Emelie (Rubbert) Herzig.
He married Ruby Mae McCorkell Feb. 14, 1922, at Akron. They lived in the Marcus, Akron and Merrill area before coming to LeMars.
He was a retired carpenter and builder and a member of the First Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister.
Survivors are his wife, Ruby Mae, of LeMars; two sons, Marvin of Indian Harbor Beach, Fla., and Clifford of Portland, Ore.; three daughters, Mrs. Nathan (Norma) Frolkey of Sutherland, Mrs. Gordon (Shirley) Gerling of Prescott, Ariz., and Bonnie of LeMars; a sister, Mrs. Wilma Heyl of Akron; 14 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren and 9 nieces and nephews.
