Harlan W. Heeren, 50, route 3, LeMars, died Friday (May 25, 1973) at Floyd Valley Hospital after an illness of several months. He had been hospitalized four days.

A lifelong resident of Plymouth county, Mr. Heeren was a farmer and livestock feeder.

Funeral services were Tuesday at 2 p.m. at the Mauer funeral chapel with Rev. Arnold Imbrock officiating.

Burial was in Resthaven Memory Gardens, LeMars, under the direction of the Mauer funeral home.

Harlan Wilbur Heeren was born Aug. 7, 1922, in Grant Township, Plymouth county, the son of the late Harm and Emma (Peters) Heeren.

He and Rose E. Goebel were married April 6, 1947, at Kingsley.

Mr. Heeren was a member of the American Legion and received a Bronze Star while serving with the air force during World War II.

Survivors are his wife, Rose E., of rural LeMars; a brother, Wallace H. of Kingsley and a half-sister, Mrs. David (Ramona) Ludwigs of LeMars.
