NELLIE HARMS

Nellie Harms, 83, of LeMars, died Saturday, Feb. 14, 1998, at The Abbey in LeMars.

Mrs. Harms, the former Nellie Margaret Erickson, was born Sept. 28, 1914, at Moville, the daughter of Ernest and Amelia (Schmidt) Erickson. She married Marvin J. Harms on Aug. 6, 1948, at Grace Lutheran Church in LeMars. The couple lived in LeMars and then moved to Sioux City. After retirement in 1988 they moved back to LeMars.

While in LeMars she had worked for Sheehan Produce and VanderMeer Bakery and while they lived in Sioux City she worked at Green Gables.

Mr. Harms died Jan. 26, 1993. She had been a resident of The Abbey the past several years.

She was a member of Grace Lutheran Church in LeMars.

Survivors include two sisters, Hulda Costello of South Sioux City, Neb., and Eunice Olson of Council Bluffs; and several nieces and nephews.

She was also preceded in death by two brothers, Walter Erickson and Raymond Erickson.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Grace Lutheran Church in LeMars with the Rev. Larry Fett officiating. Burial will be in Resthaven Memory Gardens, rural LeMars. Visitation will be after 2 p.m. today (Monday), with the family present from 7 to 8 p.m. at the Mauer-Johnson Funeral Home in LeMars.
