JURGEN HARMS
Jurgen Harms, 89, Struble, a Plymouth county native, died Wednesday (Aug. 30, 1978) at Plymouth Manor Care Center after an extended illness.
He was born April 11, 1889, in Grant township to Gerhard and Theresa Frerichs Harms. He farmed in Grant township and moved to Struble in 1928.
His marriage to Katherine Berg took place Feb. 26, 1914, in Grant township.
Mr. Harms was a retired Great Northern railroad employee.
Funeral services are pending, arrangements by the Luken-Johnson Funeral Home in LeMars.
Survivors are his wife, Katherine, Struble; two sons, Marvin and Elmer, both of Sioux City, and Melvin of LeMars; five daughters, Mrs. Warner (Theresa) Fruhling, Wimar, Minn.; Mrs. Floyd (Angeline) Martens, Rushmore, Minn.; Mrs. Howard (Dorothy) Foxhoven, Sioux City; Mrs. Dennis (Sylvia) Root, Perry; and Mrs. Adolph (Regina) Oltmanns, LeMars; 32 grandchildren and 35 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, a sister and two daughters.
