MARGARET E. BAINBRIDGE
KINGSLEY, Iowa --- Margaret E. Bainbridge, 83, of Kingsley, formerly of Pierson, Iowa, died Friday, Feb. 26, 1999, at a Sioux City nursing home.
Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Kingsley Cemetery in Kingsley, with the Rev. Keith Pals from the Pierson United Methodist Church officiating. Visitation will begin after 2 p.m. today at the Earnest-Michaelson Funeral Home in Kingsley, with the family present from 7 to 8 p.m.
Mrs. Bainbridge was born June 14, 1915, in Kingsley, the daughter of William and Daisy (Champeny) Lyle. She graduated from Kingsley High School. She married Lloyd Bainbridge Nov. 14, 1932, in Canton, S.D. He died Jan. 18, 1992.
After their marriage the couple farmed in the Kingsley-Pierson area, retiring in the mid-1970’s. They moved to Kingsley in October 1990.
She was a member of the Pierson United Methodist Church and the Good Hope Club. She enjoyed gardening, reading and crossword puzzles.
Survivors include three sons, Tom Bainbridge and his wife, Judy, of Holstein, Iowa, Lynn Bainbridge of Arlington, Texas, and Ken Bainbridge of Pierson; one sister-in-law, Alice Roepke of Kingsley; one brother-in-law, Milford Matthews of Arizona; three grandchildren, Tracy Bainbridge, Timi Wunschel and Kristy Stanfeld, and two great grandsons.
She was preceded in death by an infant son, Robert; a grandson, Tate Kelly Bainbridge; a great grandson; three brothers and three sisters.
