LE MARS, Iowa --- Olivia Mary Baack, 85, of LeMars, died Thursday, Oct. 26, 1995, at Floyd Valley Hospital in LeMars after a lingering illness.

Services will be 10 a.m. Monday at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in LeMars with the Rev. Dale George officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, LeMars. Visitation will be after 2 p.m. Sunday, with a Christian Mothers Rosary at 4 p.m. and Scriptural wake service at 7 p.m. at the Feuerstein Funeral Home in LeMars.

Mrs. Baack was born Feb. 4, 1910, on a farm near Remsen, the daughter of Anton and Elizabeth (Feldman) Wilberding. She grew up near Remsen and attended St. Mary’s Catholic Schools in Remsen. She married Raymond P. Baack June 20, 1933, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Remsen. The couple lived in Remsen until 1945 when they moved to LeMars. He died Sept. 22, 1948.

Mrs. Baack was a member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, the Church Guild, and the Christian Mothers Society for 61 years.

Survivors include two daughters, Jane Rohde and her husband, Len, of Sheldon, and Mary Pedersen and her husband, Richard, of Cedar Falls; three sons, Ronald, Kenneth and Raymond Jr. and his wife, Linda, all of LeMars; 20 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; a sister, Clara Clark of Cherokee and many nieces and nephews.

She was also preceded in death by a son, Bill; six brothers and three sisters.
