BERNARD M. GRAU

LE MARS, Iowa --- Bernard Milo Grau, 71, of LeMars died Wednesday, Jan. 4, 1995, at Floyd Valley Hospital in LeMars.

Services will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Grace Lutheran Church with the Rev. Larry Fett officiating. Burial will be in Resthaven Memory Gardens. Visitation will be after 2 p.m. today, with the family present 7 to 8 p.m., at Mauer-Johnson Funeral Home.

Mr. Grau was born Jan. 28, 1923, on the family farm near Ireton, the son of Ora and Jennie (Brown) Grau. He was raised on the farm and graduated from Ireton High School. He served in the military service during World War II. He and his parents operated a small private dairy for 14 years. He married Genevieve Nash June 18, 1950, in Luverne, Minn. The couple moved to LeMars in 1956, where he was employed with Sioux Tools for 30 years, retiring in 1986.

Mr. Grau was a member of Grace Lutheran Church and the Wasmer Post 241, American Legion of LeMars.

Survivors include his wife; a daughter and her husband, Muriel Jean and Richard Miller of LeMars; a son, Howard Allen of LeMars; three grandchildren, Sonya, Brant and Justin Miller of LeMars; two brothers, Robert Wendell and his wife, Phyllis of Hemet, Calif., and F. Elwood and his wife, Margaret of Littleton, Colo.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
