ERNEST GIST

Ernest Gist, 84, Madison, S.D., former Plymouth county resident, died Wednesday (Dec. 15, 1976) at a Madison hospital after a long illness.

Funeral services will be Friday at Madison, with a graveside service at 2 p.m. Friday in Resthaven Memory Gardens, LeMars.

A native of Kentucky, Mr. Gist was married in LeMars to the former Marian Bixby of Plymouth County. She died in 1970. The couple lived at Madison since their marriage. He was a retired postal worker.

Survivors include two children, John Gist, Madison, and Mrs. John Hamilton, Britt; six grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren and sister-in-law, Mrs. Gordon Stokes, LeMars.
