DELMAR W. GERRIETTS

Delmar W. Gerrietts, 64, of Akron died Sunday (Dec. 23, 1984) at a Sioux City hospital of cancer after long illness.

Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Trinity Lutheran Church in Akron. Rev. Marvin Mueller will officiate. Burial will be in Resthaven Cemetery in LeMars. A prayer service will be at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Schroeder Funeral Home in Akron.

Mr. Gerrietts was born Feb. 12, 1920, near Akron. He married Maxine Earl Feb. 24, 1941, at Akron. They farmed 38 years in the Akron area and moved to Akron in June 1979.

Mr. Gerrietts had been a member of Trinity Lutheran Church since 1946.

Survivors are his wife; one son, the Rev. Darrel Gerrietts of Rockwell City; one daughter, Mrs. Steven (Janet) Burrack of Akron, and six grandchildren.
