FRED G. ERKS

Fred George Erks, 88, LeMars, lifelong Plymouth county resident died July 1, 1982 at Plymouth Manor Care Center where he had lived nine months.

Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Sunday at the Mauer funeral chapel. Rev. Robert Kruempel will officiate and burial will be in Resthaven Memory Gardens.

He was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters.

Mr. Erks was born Sept. 2, 1893, near Akron to Rudolph and Helen Jacobs Erks. He farmed at rural Akron and the Hawarden area until moving to LeMars in 1970. Mr. Erks was never married.

Survivors are two brothers, William of LeMars and John of Akron, and several nieces and nephews.
