ALBERT ERKS

Funeral services for Albert Erks, 72, of Sioux City, will be held Saturday at 10:30 a.m. at the Mauer funeral home in LeMars. Rev. Harold Norheim of Merrill will officiate and burial will be in Resthaven Memory Gardens, LeMars.

Mr. Erks died Thursday (May 8, 1980) at St. Joseph hospital, Sioux City, after a brief illness. He was hospitalized for three days.

Mr. Erks was a retired electrician.

He was born Feb. 10, 1908, in Pipestone, Minn. to Heman and Anna Luchen Erks. He worked for Swift and Company for 20 years and moved from Pipestone to Sioux City.

Anna Meta Beeck and Mr. Erks were married Oct. 19, 1929, in Pipestone. She died April 20, 1972.

Survivors are a daughter, Mrs. Mark (Deloris) James, Sioux City; two sons, Dale of Battle Lake, Minn., and Dennis of Sioux City; 7 grandchildren; and 3 great-grandchildren. Also 8 brothers and a sister.
