REMSEN, Iowa -- Marilyn Feeck, 59, of Hawthorne, Calif., formerly of Remsen, died Tuesday, March 26, 2002, at Harbor General Hospital in Hawthorne.

Memorial services will be 2 p.m. Friday at Fisch Funeral Home in Remsen, with the Rev. Thomas J. Hart officiating. The body was cremated in Hawthorne. Inurnment will be in St. Mary's Cemetery in Remsen. Visitation will be 8 a.m. until service time Friday at the funeral home.

Marilyn was born Oct. 22, 1942, in Le Mars, Iowa, the daughter of William Feeck and Ruth (Gabel) Feeck-Thiel. She was raised and educated in the Remsen area. She attended both St. Mary's Catholic School and Remsen Public School. She lived in Denver, Colo., and then moved to Orange County, Calif., where she worked as a waitress.

She was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Hawthorne.

Survivors include two sons, Donald of Fort Dodge, Iowa, and Ricky of Hawthorne; her stepfather, Bernard "Shorty" Thiel; her stepgrandmother, Lucille Thiel of Remsen; two sisters, Marlene and her husband, Donald Klein of Remsen, and Barb Pick of South Sioux City; six grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; a former sister-in-law, Jeanne Feeck of Remsen; former brother-in-law, Gary Pick of Marcus, Iowa; and close friend, Karen Anderson of Hawthorne.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Scott Feeck.
