AKRON, Iowa -- Ronald Feauto, 63, of Sioux City, formerly of Akron, Iowa, died Friday, June 21, 2002, at a Sioux City care center.

Services will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Akron, with Monsignor Richard Zenk officiating. Burial will be in St. Joseph's Catholic Cemetery in Akron. Lunch will be served at St. Joseph's Parish Hall immediately following the committal service. Visitation will be 4 to 8 p.m. today, with the family present 6 to 8 p.m. and a Scripture prayer service at 7 p.m., at Schroeder Funeral Home in Akron.

Ronald Feauto was born Dec. 12, 1938, the son of Ambrose and Clara Ann (Buryanek) Feauto. He married Jean Hill on Oct. 6, 1961, in Audubon, Iowa. He graduated from auctioneer school in Mason City, Iowa.

Mr. Feauto was a musician playing in various clubs, both county and state fairs and nursing homes around the country. He cut several records in Nashville, Tenn. Mr. Feauto was most remembered for singing on the Old Home Bread Commercials as Roy McCoon with Fort Calhoun and the Nuclear Power Plant Boys. In his free time, Mr. Feauto enjoyed fishing, baseball and playing pinochle.

Survivors include his wife, Jean; four brothers, Vincent of Akron, Arnold "Barney" and his wife, Vi of Hawarden, Iowa, Orvil and his wife, Marlene of Hawarden, and Kenneth Feauto Sr. and his wife, Elaine of Fort Dodge, Iowa; three sisters, Florence Williams of Sioux City, Dorthy Carmen of Sioux City, and Mary Lou Hoeck and her husband, Harlan of Hawarden; and several nieces and nephews.

Mr. Feauto was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Raymond and Lawrence.

Pallbearers will be Paul Feauto, Kenneth Feauto Jr., David Schmieder, Denny Feauto, Chuck Carmen and Larry Williams.

Honorary pallbearers will be Ray Hoffman, Kenny Hoffman, Vint Muth, Harvey Klemme, Jim Feauto and Mike Mockler.
