Iris Phyllis Fehrman, 88, of Duluth Minn., formerly of Sioux City, died Thursday, June 19, 2003, at Chris Jensen Health and Rehabilitation Center in Duluth.

Memorial services will be 2 p.m. Sunday at Family of God Lutheran Church in Duluth. Graveside services will be 11 a.m. Friday in Memorial Park Cemetery, Sioux City. Arrangements are under the direction of Dougherty Funeral Home in Duluth.

Mrs. Fehrman was born Aug. 31, 1914, in Plymouth County, Iowa, to Ira and Blanche Henshaw. She attended Sioux City schools.

She married Lee Fehrman on Dec. 23, 1929. She was employed with Postal Finance in Sioux City. She lived in many places throughout her life and retired to the lake home in Ottertail, Minn.

She attended Methodist churches wherever she hung her hat. She enjoyed playing cards, crocheting and spending time with her family.

Survivors include her daughter, Virginia (Lester) Holt of Ottertail; a sister, Vera Perrett of Clarksville, Ark.; four grandchildren, Sandra (Luke) Meints of Duluth, Mike (Tara) Holt of Minneapolis, Gary (Kim) Waddell of Le Mars, Iowa, and Jeff Kots of Georgetown, Texas; 11 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Lee; a son, Gary; brothers, Basil, Clayton, Cecil, Marvin and Delbert; and a sister, Ethel Newkirk.
