MARCUS, Iowa -- Bradley John Eckhoff, 34, of Des Moines, formerly of Marcus, passed away Sunday, Oct. 31, 2004, at Iowa Methodist Hospital in Des Moines following a motor vehicle accident.

Services will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Holy Name Catholic Church in Marcus, with the Rev. Eugene Murray officiating. Burial will be in Holy Name Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will be after 2 p.m. today, with the family present 5 to 8 p.m. and a Scripture service at 7 p.m., at the church. Visitation will resume one hour prior to the service Thursday at the church. Arrangements are under the direction of Earnest-Rohde Funeral Home in Marcus.

Bradley John Eckhoff was born July 20, 1970, in Le Mars, Iowa, to Dennis and Patricia (Cronin) Eckhoff. He played football for the Marcus Eagles and graduated from Marcus High School in 1989. He would later attended Kirkwood Community College in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.

In 1996, he moved to Des Moines, where he began his career with PDI Cold Storage in Ankeny, Iowa. He was currently a supervisor with the firm.

He attended Holy Name Catholic Church while living in Marcus. He enjoyed golfing and was an avid football fan. His favorite teams were the St. Louis Rams and the Miami Hurricanes.

He will be lovingly remembered by his sister, Kristy Eckhoff of Sioux Falls, S.D.; a brother, Tom Eckhoff and his son, Caleb, of Humboldt, Iowa; stepmother, Julie Eckhoff of Humboldt, Iowa; stepfather and his wife, Clarence and Sue Pearson Jr. of Marcus; grandmothers, Mary Eckhoff of Charles City, Iowa, and Merlyn Cronin of Marcus; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and grandfathers, William Cronin and John Eckhoff.

Pallbearers will be Tom Eckhoff, Dan Riden, Derek Hansen, Jeremy Ehrig, Jason Kunkel, Rory Booth and Mike Treinen.
