MARJORIE M. ANSTINE
KINGSLEY, Iowa --- Marjorie M. Anstine, 87, of Kingsley died Wednesday, July 18, 2001, at a Yankton, S.D., nursing home.
Services will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday at United Methodist Church in Kingsley, with her Rev. Paul Evans officiating. Burial will be in Kingsley Cemetery. Visitation will be after 2 p.m. today, with the family present 6 to 8 p.m. and a Order of the Eastern Star service at 7 p.m. at Earnest and Michaelson Funeral Home in Kingsley.
Mrs. Anstine was born Oct. 16, 1913, in Kingsley, the daughter of Edgar and Gertrude (Stewart) Twogood. She graduated from Union High School in 1931.
She married Kermit “Kirk” Anstine in 1932. She owned and operated Marge’s Café in Kingsley for 20 years. She then managed a clothing store, Fashion Shoppe, in Remsen, Iowa, and Kingsley for many years. She later started a sewing and clothing alteration business in Kingsley, which she had several years before retiring.
She was a member of United Methodist Church, where she served as secretary for many years, and Order of the Eastern Star.
Survivors include a son and his wife, Charles “Chuck” And Donna of Yankton; two grandchildren, Rodney Anstine and Robin Sparks; and five great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by an infant son and a sister, Bernice Anstine.
