R. A. ANDERSON DIES AT HOSPITAL
Rhinehart A. Anderson, 67, LeMars, died Monday at St. Luke's Medical Center East, Sioux City, after an extended illness.
He was born March 23, 1902, and Union Township, South Dakota. He farmed from 1928 to 1947 and did custom shelling in 1950 to 1955. He was the operator of a miniature golf course here from 1958 to the present time.
He lived in Dakota until age 21 and has resided in the LeMars area since 1923. He was the son of the late Christian and Margareta (Selk) Anderson.
His marriage to Marian Kamp took place in June 19, 1941, that Dakota City.
He was a member of St. John American Lutheran Church and Liberty aerie 1381 F.O.E.
Funeral will be Friday at 2 p.m. at St. John American Lutheran Church. Reverend Arnold Imbrock and Reverend Paul Tobiason will officiate and burial will be in Resthaven Memory Gardens, under direction of the Luken-Johnson funeral home. Friends may call at the funeral home after 2 p.m. Thursday.
Survivors are his wife, Mrs. Marian Anderson; a daughter, Mrs. Art (Betty) Williams, LeMars; a grand son, Steven Williams; five brothers, William, LeMars; F. H. Anderson, Akron; Rudolph and George, both of Kingsley and Edward of Highgrove, California; three sisters, Mrs. Mary Heyl, Lake Benton; Mrs. Minnie King, Hayward, California, and Mrs. Ted (Hanna) Dimmick, Hawarden. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother and three sisters.
