LE MARS, Iowa -- Mary A. Donlin, 59, of Le Mars died Tuesday, Feb. 25, 2003, at a Sioux City hospital following a brief illness.

Services will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Le Mars, with the Rev. Andrew Hoffmann officiating. Burial will be in St. Joseph's Catholic Cemetery, Lincoln Township, rural Hinton, Iowa. Visitation will be after 2 p.m. today, with a Christian Mother's rosary at 4 p.m., a Scriptural wake service at 7 p.m. and a Catholic Daughters of America rosary at 8 p.m., all at Feuerstein Funeral Home in Le Mars.

Miss Donlin was born May 6, 1943, in Le Mars, the daughter of Joseph and Gertrude (Hoffman) Donlin. She grew up south of Le Mars and attended Gehlen Catholic Schools, graduating with the class of 1961. She attended Nebraska Beauty School in Omaha and later was employed in Omaha as an insurance salesperson for 26 years.

She moved back to Le Mars in 1993 to help care for her mother. In 1999, she went back to school and attended Western Iowa Tech Community College in Sioux City for one year. In 2000, she continued her education at Briar Cliff College in Sioux City. She had recently been employed with Mid-Step Opportunities in Sioux City and Lawton, Iowa.

She was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Christian Mother's Society and Catholic Daughters of America.

Survivors include a sister and her husband, Joan and Dennis Guinane of Glenwood, Iowa; three brothers, Larry Donlin and his wife, Betty of Monroe, Wis., John Donlin of St. Louis, Mo., and Francis "Fritz" Donlin and his wife, Mary Lou of Merrill, Iowa; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents.
