HAWARDEN, Iowa -- Luella Bultman, 95, of Hawarden died Tuesday, April 1, 2003, at Hillcrest Health Care Center in Hawarden.

Services will be 10:30 a.m. Friday at Trinity Lutheran Church in Hawarden, with the Rev. Todd Bunge officiating. Burial will be in Grace Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be after noon Thursday, with a prayer service at 7 p.m., at Porter Funeral Home in Hawarden.

Luella H. Bultman was born Aug. 11, 1907, in Plymouth County, Iowa, the daughter of Eilt and Alice (Johnson) Eilts.

She married Harry Bultman on Feb. 16, 1927, near Hawarden. They farmed near Hawarden, living on the farm for 57 years. They retired and moved into Hawarden in November 1984. She had been a salesperson for Studio Girl Cosmetics for many years. Harry died March 14, 1990. She entered Hillcrest Health Care Center in November 1992.

She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church. She enjoyed sewing, quilting and baking, especially making tea rings.

Surviving relatives include three sons and their wives, Donald and Millie (Bridgett) Bultman, Darold and Adriana (Lockhorst) Bultman, and Kenneth and Vivian (Moeller) Bultman, all of Hawarden; a daughter and her husband, Janet and Jack Even of Littleton, Colo.; a sister and her husband, Mary and Charles Ericson of Alcester, S.D.; 19 grandchildren; 43 great-grandchildren; and seven great-great-grandchildren.

In addition to her husband, Harry, she was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Lawrence Eilts.
