MARVIN DE BOER

Marvin De Boer, 52, Coon Rapids, formerly of LeMars, died Thursday (May 23, 1974) at St. Anthony Hospital, Carroll, after a two-month illness.

He is the son of Roy De Boer, LeMars, and the late Ruth De Boer.

Mr. De Boer was engaged in farming in the LeMars and Bronson areas before moving to Coon Rapids a year ago. He was a veteran of World War II and a member of the Coon Rapids Methodist Church.

His marriage to the former Marian Meis took place March 17, 1951.

Funeral services are scheduled for Saturday at 1:30 p.m. at First Reformed Church, Ireton. Rev. L. Lenters will officiate and burial will be in Rest Haven Memory Gardens, LeMars, under direction of the Mason funeral home, Coon Rapids.

An 8 p.m. prayer service will be held Thursday at the funeral home.

Survivors are his wife, Marian, of Coon Rapids; a daughter Cynthia and a son Mark at home; his father, Roy De Boer, LeMars; three brothers, Jerrold of Akron, Delmar of Nashville, Tenn., and Elroy of LeMars; and a sister, Mrs. H. D. (Sylvia) Krommendyke, Worthington, Minnesota.

He was preceded in death by his son, Keith, and by his mother.
