MRS. ROY DE BOER
Mrs. Roy (Ruth) De Boer, 70, died unexpectedly early Tuesday at her home, 606 Grandview, LeMars.
Ruth Borgman, the daughter of James and Dena (Wesslink) Borgman, was born March 7, 1897, at Sioux Center.
After her marriage, March 5, 1920, to Mr. DeBoer, the couple farmed for 21 years in the Sioux Center area before moving to Plymouth County, where they farmed for over 20 years before retiring to LeMars in 1962.
Mrs.De Boer was a member of the Christian Reformed Church here and a member of the Golden Hour Circle.
Funeral services are pending at the Mauer funeral home in LeMars. Services will be held at the First Reformed church, Ireton, and burial will be in Rest Haven Memory Gardens, LeMars. Reverend Jay Pruim will officiate.
Survivors are her husband, Roy, LeMars; four sons, Marvin, Jerrold, and Elroy of LeMars and Delmer of Antiock, Tenn.; a daughter, Mrs. Delmer (Sylvia) Krommendyke, Worthington, Minnesota; 21 grandchildren; seven sisters, Mrs. Dora DeBey, San Diego; Mrs. Henriette DeBoer, Sioux Center; Betty Borgman, Cincinnati; Mrs. Esther Van Wyhe and Grace Borgman, both of Santa Maria, California; Mrs. Mina Poppen, Sioux Center; and Bernice Borgman of Lansing, Mich.; and a brother, Melvin Borgman, Santa Maria.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Vera; two grandchildren and five sisters.
