CHARLES E. DAVIS
Charles E. Davis, 64, of LeMars died Sunday (May 2, 1982) at Floyd Valley Hospital in LeMars.
Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at the Grace Lutheran Church in LeMars. Rev. H. H. Schauland will officiate. Burial will be in Resthaven Cemetery under the direction of the Johnson-Luken funeral home of LeMars.
Friends may call at the funeral home after 2 p.m. Wednesday.
Mr. Davis was born March 4, 1918, at Percy, Illinois, to Mr. and Mrs. Amos Davis and was a LeMars area resident for the last 32 years. He married Elda Hemming March 17, 1943, at a Ford Ord, California, Army base chapel. He served in the Army for five years during World War II. He was retired.
Mr. Davis was a member of the Grace Lutheran Church.
Survivors are his wife; four daughters, Mrs. Maryln (June) Van De Brake of Salt Lake City, Utah, Mrs. Gary (Janice) Jenney of Omaha and Mrs. Arlene Moran and Mrs. Paul (Dottie) Delperdang, both of LeMars; three sisters, Mrs. Viola Culp of Saginaw, Mich., Mrs. Harold (Pearl) Kasperzink of Belleville, Ill., and Mrs. Joseph (Jean) Romano of Bronx, N.Y., and seven grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one son in infancy; two sisters and two brothers.
