JAMES COOPER

Funeral for James Cooper, 56, LeMars, will be at 1:30 p.m. Friday at the Mauer-Johnson Funeral Home in LeMars. Reverend David Kramer, pastor at St. John's Lutheran Church, will officiate. Burial will be in Resthaven Memory Gardens in rural LeMars.

Friends may call at the funeral home after 3 p.m. Thursday with the family present from seven to 8 p.m.

Mr. Cooper died unexpectedly Monday (January 20, 1986) at Marian Health Center, Sioux City. He was stricken while at work at Ad-Kraft, South Sioux City, Nebraska, where he was an advertising designer and technician.

He was born May 24, 1929, at Sutherland to Orlo and Metta Hansen Cooper. He graduated from LeMars high school and since had lived in LeMars. His marriage to Julie Moore took place at Joplin, Missouri, May 3, 1962. He served in the Army during the Korean conflict.

Immediate survivors are his family, Julie Cooper of Seattle, Washington, Scott Cooper of Chicago, and Carol Cooper of Sioux City; a brother, Robert Cooper of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, and a sister, Mrs. Delton (Joyce) Schroeder of LeMars. He was preceded in death by his parents.
