ALVINE R. CLARK

Alvine R. Clark, 60, long time LeMars city employee, was dead on arrival Friday morning (July 7, 1989) at Floyd Valley Hospital.

Funeral was at 10:30 a.m. Monday at LeMars First Baptist Church with the Reverend Gordon Rhodes officiating. Burial was in Resthaven Memory Gardens, LeMars, under direction of the Mauer-Johnson Funeral Home. Visitation was after 2 p.m. Sunday, with the family present from 7 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mr. Clark was born April 12, 1929, at Beresford, South Dakota, the son of Clarence and Edna Erickson Clark. He married Mabel W. Biesbrock April 9, 1951, at Alcester. Mr. Clark had lived in LeMars since 1963 and had been a city employee since 1964. He was a member of the First Baptist Church.

Survivors are his wife, Mabel, LeMars; three sons, Clair Clark of Moville, Loren Clark of Sergeant Bluff, and Guy Clark of Sioux City; a daughter, Mrs. Ernie (Dawn) Eason of Orange City; nine grandchildren, two step granddaughters; his father, Clarence Clark of Alcester; three brothers, Leland of Mission Hills, South Dakota, Jay of Alcester and Gerald of St. Paul; three sisters, Mrs. Russell (June) Simpson of Rogers, Arkansas, Mrs. True (Kay) Salvis of Rapid City and Mrs. Robert (Clarys) Peterson of St. Paul.

He was preceded in death by his mother, a brother and a sister.
