LE MARS, Iowa – Nancy A. Chapman, 51, of LeMars died unexpectedly Saturday, August 14, 1999, 1947-at Floyd Valley Hospital in LeMars.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Mauer-Johnson funeral home in LeMars, with the Rev. Larry Fett of Grace Lutheran Church officiating. Interment will be in Resthaven Memory Gardens Cemetery. Visitation will be after 2 p.m. today, with a 7 p.m. prayer service at the funeral home.

Nancy Ann Chapman was born September 19, 1947, in LeMars, the daughter of Wilbur and Esther (Martfeld) Ahlrichs. She graduated from LeMars Community High School in 1967.

She worked for Harrison's Department Store after her high school graduation. She later worked as a nursing assistant at Casa de Paz Nursing Home in Sioux City, and The Abbey and Plymouth Manor in LeMars. She also worked for Wells Blue Bunny at the south ice cream plant since 1993.

Survivors include two daughters: Rochelle and her husband, Dan Block, of Remsen, and Melissa Chapman and her fiancé, Hank Tritz of LeMars; a son and his wife, Jason and Jackie Chapman of LeMars; four grandchildren, Michael, Keely, Courtney, and Alex; two sisters and their husbands, Colleen Chapman Wilhelmi and Frank of LeMars, and Joan and Roger Warren of Wrightwood, Calif.; a brother, Rick Ahlrichs, of Riverside, California; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Geraldine Ahlrichs, in infancy.
