WAYNE CAMERON

Wayne H. “Red” Cameron, 74, LeMars, died Monday, Aug. 20, 1990, in a Sioux City hospital.

Services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday in the Presbyterian United Church of Christ, LeMars, with the Rev. Robert Grupp officiating. Burial will be in Resthaven Memory Gardens. Visitation will be after 2 p.m. Wednesday with a scripture wake service at 7:30 p.m. in the Mauer-Johnson Funeral Home. Monsignor Michael Sernett will officiate.

Mr. Cameron was born Aug. 19, 1916, in Plymouth County, the son of Harry and Mae (McCoun) Cameron. He married Evelyn E. Wiltgen Nov. 8, 1949, at Council Bluffs. He retired as a member service director for the Plymouth County REC in 1981, after serving for 36 years. Mrs. Cameron died in February 1990.

Mr. Cameron was a member of Wasmer Post 241, American Legion Order of Eagles 1381 of LeMars and International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers. He served in the Army Air Corps during World War II.

Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. James (Clarice) Henrich of LeMars; two sons, Richard Nussbaum of Kokomo, Ind., and Gary Cameron of Glenwood; 13 grandchildren; two brothers, Don Cameron of Anaheim, Calif.; and Jack Cameron of Prescott, Ariz.; and a sister, Mrs. Conley (Joyce) Ferguson of Thousand Palms, Calif.

He was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters, Joann and Gwen
