EVELYN E. CAMERON

Mrs. Wayne (Evelyn E.) Cameron, 68, LeMars native and life-long Plymouth County resident, died unexpectedly Sunday (Feb. 4, 1990) while traveling with her husband near El Paso, Texas. She died at Vista Hills Medical Center in El Paso.

Funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at St. James Catholic Church in LeMars with Msgr. Michael Sernett officiating. Burial will be in Resthaven Memory Gardens, LeMars, under direction of the Mauer-Johnson Funeral Home in LeMars.

Visitation will be after 2 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home with the altar society rosary at 4 p.m. and a scripture wake service at 7:30 p.m.

The former Evelyn Wiltgen, she was born Jan. 13, 1922, in LeMars to Nicholas J. and Clara Heissel Wiltgen. She married Wayne H. Cameron Nov. 8, 1949, at Council Bluffs.

Mrs. Cameron was a seamstress and supervisor for many years at Aalfs Manufacturing in LeMars. She was a member of St. James Catholic Church and the altar society. She was also a member of the Eagles auxiliary.

Survivors are her husband, Wayne H. Cameron, of LeMars; a daughter, Mrs. James (Clarice) Henrich of LeMars; two sons, Richard Nussbaum of Kokomo, Ind., and Gary Cameron of Glenwood, Iowa; a sister, Mrs. Don (Lorraine) Plueger, Hemet, Calif., and four brothers, Merle Wiltgen of Molallo, Ore., Leonard Wiltgen of LeMars, and James Wiltgen of Sioux City; seven grandchildren, Angela, Julia, Laura, and John Henrich, LeMars; Tera Derek Cameron of Glenwood, and Ray Nussbaum, Kokomo, Ind.; 20 step-grandchildren and seven step-great-great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents.
