Agnes J. Blumer, 92, of Sioux City died Tuesday, July 31, 2001, at a Sioux City hospital.

Services will be 10 a.m. Thursday at Calvary Lutheran Church with the Rev. David Schoop officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be 2 to 8 p.m. today, with family present 6 to 8 p.m., and a prayer service at 7 p.m. conducted by the Rev. Glen Rachuy, at Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel.

Mrs. Blumer was born Feb. 17, 1909, in Lincoln Township, Plymouth County, Iowa, the daughter of John and Ida (Dahlman) Wetrosky. She married Claude J. Blumer on Nov. 3, 1934, in Hinton, Iowa. He died in January 1977, in Sioux City.

She was a lifelong Sioux City resident. She gave piano lessons for 12 years, played organ at Trinity Lutheran Church in Hinton, and later at Calvary Lutheran Church in Sioux City. Most recently, she was employed with Williges, retiring after 12 years.

She was a member of Calvary Lutheran Church in Sioux City, the Martha Circle and the Quilting Group. She enjoyed gardening.

Survivors include two sons and their wives, Kendall and Dorothy Blumer of Yankton, S.D., and Charles and Milly Blumer of St. Louis, Mo.; a daughter, Lilas Eastman of Sioux City; a brother and his wife, Clyde and Milly Wetrosky of Pequot Lake, Minn.; 10 grandchildren, Cindy Rombaugh, Julie Larson, Greg Blumer, Diane Robinson, Cindy Levering, Jack Eastman, Sue Rosenbaum, Stephanie Meyer, Stacy Brassel and Angela Blumer; 18 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

She also was preceded in death by a brother, Louis Wetrosky; two sisters, Viola Richardson and Ada Stabe; and a son-in-law, Roy Eastman.
