RICHARD M. BRUNKEN

Richard M. Brunken died Friday (Aug. 18, 1989) in a traffic accident near LeMars.

Funeral was at 2 p.m. Monday at St. John’s American Lutheran Church in LeMars. Rev. David Kramer officiated and burial was in Resthaven Memory Gardens, LeMars, under direction of the Mauer-Johnson Funeral Home in LeMars.

Visitation was after 2 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home with a prayer service at 7:30 p.m.

He was born Aug. 20, 1955, in LeMars to Norman and Betty Jo Stromland Brunken. He graduated from LeMars Community High School in 1974 and was a member of St. John’s Church. He was warehouse supervisor at K-Products in Orange City at the time of his death.

Survivors are his mother, Betty Jo Brunken, LeMars; a brother, Randall Brunken, Sioux City; two sisters, Mrs. Bruce (Karen) Knapp, Westfield, and Mrs. Greg (Janet) Thompson of LeMars. He was preceded in death by his father.
