MRS. IRVIN BRANDSTETTER
Mrs. Irvin E. Brandstetter, 85, of LeMars, died Saturday (March 12, 1977) at Brentwood Good Samaritan center following a long illness. She lived at Brentwood for over a year.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday in Calvary United Methodist church. Rev. Denton Erickson and Rev. Everett Staats will officiate. Burial will be in Resthaven Memory Gardens under the direction of Mauer funeral home.
Mrs. Brandstetter, the former Helen M. Zimmerman, was born June 21, 1891, near Merrill to George and Louisa Berner Zimmerman. She was married to Mr. Brandstetter Dec. 6, 1916, in Plymouth county.
After their marriage, the couple farmed in Stanton township, rural Merrill, until retiring and moving to LeMars in 1963. Mr. Brandstetter died in January 1975.
Mrs. Brandstetter was a member of Calvary United Methodist church and was active in church work.
Survivors are one son, Roger, of Fullerton, Calif; one sister, Mrs. Tilda Lippke, of Pequakee, Wis.; and three grandchildren, Ron, Todd, and Scott, all in California.
Mrs. Brandstetter had been active in the Stanton Evangelical Church of rural Merrill where the couple farmed.She was also preceded in death by four brothers.
