IRVIN BRANDSTETTER
Irvin E. Brandstetter, 80, a Plymouth County native and lifetime resident, died unexpectedly Saturday (January 25, 1975) at his home following an apparent heart attack. He had lived at 527 Evelyn Drive for the last twelve years.He was born Dec. 13, 1894, in Stanton Township to Jacob and Paulline Dobbert Brandstetter. He farmed in that township near Merrill until his retirement to LeMars in 1963.
On Dec. 6, 1916, he was married to Helen Zimmerman in Stanton township.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 1:30 p.m. at Calvary United Methodist church in LeMars with Rev. Tom Balm officiating. Burial will be in Resthaven Memory Gardens, LeMars, under direction of the Mauer funeral home.
Survivors are his wife, Helen, LeMars; a son Roger Brandstetter, Fullerton, Calif.; three grandsons, Ron, Todd and Scott Brandstetter of California; a brother, Benjamin Brandstetter, Wayne, Neb.; three sisters, Mrs. Sophie Weidauer, LeMars, Mrs. Elsie Grimjes, Wayne, Neb., and Mrs. Pearl Ulmer, Dawson, Neb., and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, three sisters and a brother.
Mr. Brandstetter was a member of Calvary United Methodist Church.[Part of the Darrell Eason Obituary Collection]
