KENNETH L. BOUMA

Kenneth L. Bouma, 43, of Orange City, died Thursday, Jan. 7, 1993, at McKennan Hospital in Sioux Falls, S.D., of injuries received in an explosion at the Diamond Vogel Paint Company in Orange City.

Services were held at 11 a.m. today at the American Reformed Church in Orange City with the Rev. Marlin Vander Wilt officiating. Interment followed at Resthaven Memory Gardens near LeMars, under the direction of the Van Etten-Oolman-Van Gelder Funeral Home in Orange City.

Mr. Bouma was born April 13, 1949, at LeMars, the son of Roy Luverne and Doris Lucille (Miller) Bouma. He was raised at Carnes and graduated from Floyd Valley High School. He made his home in Orange City, where in earlier years, he was employed by Midwest Pre-Cast. Since about 1975, he had been with Diamond Vogel where he was a warehouseman. On March 13, 1992, he married Marie Lou Feldman at George.

Surviving are his wife; his son and daughter, Michael Allen and Melissa Sue, both at home; mother and step-father, Doris and Rudy Drost, of Orange City; two sisters, Mrs. Clyde (Rhonda) Klave of Winterset, and Mrs. David (Betsy) Urbas of Hebron, Indiana; and a step-sister, Mrs. Mike (Dawn) Steig of Sergeant Bluff.

He was preceded in death by his father.
