MARGARET M. BOCK

Margaret M. Bock, 76, of LeMars, died Friday, March 1, 1996, at St. Luke’s Regional Medical Center in Sioux City.

Margaret Marie Johnson was born Jan. 29, 1920, in Deloit, to Willard and Ethel (Dunbar) Johnson. She was raised by her grandmother, Amanda Noakes Dunbar, after her mother died when she was three years old. She attended and graduated from Deloit High School.

She married Warren Bock on July 1, 1954, at Deloit. The couple made their home in LeMars where she worked for Hollanders Variety Store and later Harrisons Variety Store for several years until her retirement. She enjoyed bowling and fishing.

Survivors include her husband, Warren Bock, of LeMars; and a nephew and his wife, Don and Sandy Stehr, of Denison.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Genevieve Stehr; and a brother, Leo Johnson.

Funeral services were at 2 p.m. today (Monday) at the Mauer-Johnson Funeral Home in LeMars, with the Rev. Dave Higdon officiating. Interment was in Resthaven Memory Gardens Cemetery. Visitation was after 2 p.m. Sunday at the Mauer-Johnson Funeral Home with the family present from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
