ESTHER M. BEECK

LE MARS, Iowa – Esther M. Beeck, 77, of LeMars died Monday, April 12, 1993, at a Sioux City Hospital.

Services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. John's American Lutheran Church in LeMars with the Reverend David Kramer, officiating. Burial will be in Resthaven Memory Gardens. Visitation will be after 2 p.m. today, with a prayer service at 7 p.m., and the family present 7-8 p.m., at Mauer-Johnson Funeral Home in LeMars.

Mrs. Beeck was born December 11, 1915, in rural Akron, the daughter of Ernest and Minnie (Mienen) Frerichs. She was a lifelong resident of Plymouth County. She married Paul Beeck January 7, 1937, in Akron. The couple farmed in Plymouth County until 1976 when they retired and moved into LeMars.

Mrs. Beeck was a member of St. John's American Lutheran Church in LeMars.

Survivors include her husband; two daughters and their husbands, Virginette Johnson and Maynard and Paulette Detloff and Randall, all of LeMars; two sons and their wives, Donald Beeck and Judy and Rick Beeck and Tammy, all of LeMars; eight grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Mildred Drake and her husband, Ed and Arlene Blom, all of LeMars.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and a sister, Mrs. Rienie (Leona) Witt.
