Randy Mohning, 44, of Le Mars, died Monday, Dec. 12, 2005, at Floyd Valley Hospital in Le Mars.

Randall Carl Mohning was born Sept. 15, 1961, in Le Mars, the son of Henry and Sandra (Conner) Mohning. He was raised and educated in Le Mars, graduating from Le Mars Community High School in 1980. He worked for Lampert's Lumber in Le Mars before moving to Anaheim, Calif. After five years in California, he returned to the area and lived in Sioux City, where he worked as a truck driver.

Randy married Lisa Maack on March 12, 1994 at Grace Lutheran Church in Le Mars. The couple made their home in Le Mars.

Randy drove a truck for Johnson Feeds in Sioux City. His passion was dirt bike racing and he rode in many places in the area. He also liked to bowl and enjoyed golfing. Most of all he cherished the time he spent with his daughters and family.

Randy will be lovingly remembered by his daughters Jessica and Emily; his mother, Sandra Mohning-Kai of Le Mars; his father, Henry Mohning of Le Mars; a brother, Dave and his children Adam, Daniel and Natalie and a sister, Becky Sitzmann and her husband Jason and their children Kyle, Brady, Corey and Courtney, all of Le Mars; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents.

Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the Mauer - Johnson Funeral Home in Le Mars. The Rev. Larry Fett of Grace Lutheran Church (LCMS) will officiate. Burial will follow at Resthaven Memory Gardens, rural Le Mars. A time of lunch and fellowship will follow in the Mauer - Johnson Funeral Home Family Room. Visitation will begin at 2 p.m. today (Wednesday) at the funeral home. The family will be present 4:30 to 8 p.m. with a prayer service at 5 p.m. There will also be one hour of visitation at the funeral home prior to the service on Thursday.

Honorary pallbearers will be Randy's nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Gary Conner, Wes Conner, Les Mohning, Lee Mohning, Loren Mohning and Louis Mohning.
