Esther Ahlrichs

Esther Ahlrichs, 74, longtime LeMars resident, and a Plymouth County native, died Wednesday (May 9, 1990) at her home.

Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. John's American Lutheran Church in LeMars with Reverend Gary Landsness officiating. Burial will be in Resthaven Memory Gardens.

Visitation will be after 2 p.m. Friday at the Mauer-Johnson Funeral Home in LeMars. A prayer service will be at 7 p.m. tonight.

She was born December 11, 1915, in Plymouth County to Hans and Talinae Redelfs Martfeld. She married Wilbur Ahlrich April 11, 1935, in LeMars. She was a member of St. John's American Lutheran Church in LeMars.

Survivors are three daughters, Mrs. Robert (Joan) Warren, a Riverside, California; Mrs. Nancy Chapman and Mrs. Coleen Chatman, both of LeMars; a son, Rick Ahlrichs of Lancaster, California; 12 grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, three sisters and a brother.
