Carl G. Ahrendsen

Carl George Ahrendsen 67, rural LeMars, died Tuesday at Brentwood Good Samaritan Center after an illness in three years.

He was born May 28, 1900, at Dagebull, Germany, and came to the Merrill vicinity as a young man in 1923. He has since farmed in Plymouth County. [1968].

April 9, 1927, he was married to Marie Andresen at LeMars. His parents were the late Jacob V. and Margaret (Clausen) Ahrendsen.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at St. John's American Lutheran Church in LeMars. Rev. L. L. Belk and Rev. Arnold __brock will officiate in burial will be in Resthaven Memory Gardens under direction of the Mauer funeral home. A prayer service will be held at 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

Survivors are his wife of rural LeMars; a daughter, Mrs. Lee (Catherine) Noteboom, Archer; two sons, Jacob Ahrendsen and Alfred Ahrendsen, both of LeMars; eight grandchildren; two brothers, John and Peter Ahrendsen, both of LeMars; and a sister, Mrs. Caroline Horeis, a Fremont, Nebraska.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Nis Ahrendsen, in 1966.

Mr. Ahrendsen was a member of St. John's American Lutheran Church.
