Life's End
MRS. MILDRED GALLAND DIES AT HAWARDEN; RITES SET THURSDAYFuneral services for Mrs. Mildred Alice Galland, 69, who died Monday at a Hawarden hospital, will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at St. John Lutheran church in Craig.
Rev. Mueller will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery. The cooperative funeral home of Sioux Center is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Galland, the former Mildred Casler, was born May 23, 1904, at Seney. She was married June 4, 1928, at Webster City, to Lyle Galland.
She was a long-time teacher and also served as a Sunday school teacher for several years at St. John church.
Survivors are her husband, one son, David Lyle of Craig, a brother, George Casler of LeMars, and four sisters, Mrs. Cora Utesch of LeMars, Mrs. Alva (sic--Elva) Jaynes of Sioux City, Mrs. Ruth Waite of Port Hueneme, Calif., and Mrs. Mary Ellen Swartzkopf of Lake Preston, S. D.
