Obituary
Flora MarcueMrs. Ralph (Flora) Marcue, 84, longtime LeMars resident, died on her birthday, (May 20, 1980) at Brentwood Good Samaritan center in LeMars after a long illness.
Services will be Thursday at 1:30 p.m. at the Mauer funeral home in LeMars. Rev. Leonard Root, pastor of the First United Methodist church, will officiate. Burial will be in the LeMars Memorial cemetery.
Flora MacKinnon was born May 20, 1896, at Hawarden to Donald and Hattie Grange MacKinnon. She lived at Hawarden until moving to LeMars in the early 1920’s. She taught school and since made her home here.
Her marriage to Ralph Marcue took place June 4, 1930, at Hawarden. She was a member of the United Methodist church, P.E.O. sisterhood, and was a graduate of Dakota Wesleyan college.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Survivors are her husband, Ralph, LeMars; a daughter, Mrs. George (Dorothy) Toyne, Humboldt; a son, Donald Marcue, Evergreen, Colo.; a sister, Mrs. Jessie Thomas, LeMars; and a brother, William MacKinnon, DesMoines.
