Mrs. George Sturges

LeMars, Iowa—Mrs. Geroge Sturges, 89, LeMars, former teacher, died Thursday in a LeMars hospital.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday in the Presbyterian United Church of Christ. The Rev. Ralph Nelson will officiate. Burial will be in Memorial Cemetery at LeMars under the direction of Luken-Johnson Funeral Home.

Mrs. Sturges, the former Mariana Sims, was born March 7, 1889, at Council Bluffs. She graduated from Council Bluffs High School in 1907. She attended Morningside College and graduated from the University of Iowa.

She was married Sept. 6, 1921, Denison. They moved to LeMars in 1922. She was a member of the Presbyterian United Church of Christ.

Survivors include the widower; one son, William S. of LeMars; one daughter Mrs. E. W. (Barbara) Gregory of Springfield, VA.; and one sister, Mrs. Paul (Katryn) Sturges of San Jose, Calif.
