June 25, 1919 - The democrat - Sunday morning Fred Wood of the Rodman neighborhood arose and went out to do his chores. He milked one cow and then went into the house. On entering the door, he dropped dead. He must have felt ill as he had seven other cows to milk. He was a gentleman of perhaps 50 years of age. He is survived by his wife and several sons and daughters. Those who knew him considered him an upright and deserving gentleman. We have not learned the particulars.
