A W. SAMPSON SERVICES HELD AT GRAETTINGER

Funeral services for Arnold William Sampson, 56, of Graettinger who died at his home February 16 after a lingering illness, were held Monday afternoon at North Bethel Lutheran Church in Graettinger with the Reverend O. J. Reitz officiating. Burial was in Crown Hill cemetery at Ruthven with Fuhrman funeral home in charge of arrangements.

Born August 28, 1907 at Ruthven, he was the son of the late Thomas and Louisa Hauge Sampson and received his education in the Lake Center high school. On August 10, 1933 he married Mildred Fox at Spencer. He was employed by Morrells in Estherville for 10 years before illness forced him to leave his work.

Survivors include his wife, Mildred; a son, Robert of Terril and a daughter, Shirley at home. Also surviving are four grandchildren, Barbara, Thomas, Pamela and Ronald Sampson of Terril; four sisters and one brother, Mrs. Charles J. Eldridge of Terril, Mrs. Millie Neet of Ringsted, Mrs. Grace Spalding of Spencer, Mrs. Elma Carlson of St. Hilaire, Minnesota and Lester Sampson of Santa Barbara, California.

Mr. Sampson was preceded in death by his parents, one brother and one sister.
