Rites Held for Former Resident

Word was received in West Bend recently of the death of Elmore West Bend Minger, 80, in Los Angeles, California, January 7.

Mr. Minger was the first child born in West Bend, March 22, 1882, when this community was still surrounded by raw prairie. He moved to California in 1926. Survivors include his wife, a son and daughter, a sister, and an aunt, Mrs. Mary's Stagman of West Bend, who, at the age of 101 is the oldest resident in West Bend. Also surviving are a niece, two nephews and five grandchildren. Burial was in Inglewood Cemetery in Los Angeles on January 10.
