Former Graettinger Man, Leo Johnson, Dies at Fairfax

Mrs. Mike Gilman of Emmetsburg was called to Fairfax, Minnesota, recently by the death of her brother, Leo Johnson, 43, who died January 31 of a heart ailment. Mr. Johnson had been hospitalized about a week. Burial was in St. Andrews cemetery in Fairfax with the Reverend Felix Fasching officiating.

Leo Johnson was born in Graettinger June 25, 1905, a son of Mr. and Mrs. Louis Johnson and attended the Graettinger schools. On January 4, 1938 he married Lucille Frank of Fairfax. They farmed 16 years near Franklin, Minnesota. The years he wasn't farming he operated a trucking business at Fairfax. He was a member of the Fairfax Knights of Columbus.

Mr. Johnson is survived by his wife, three sons and one daughter. Also surviving are his mother, three sisters and six brothers.
